More Memories from Colorado! | Grand Trip Out West

After our wonderfully fun day in Lake City, we drove over to Colorado Springs for a few days. It was the last major stop on our trip, and it was one of our favorites!

But first, we had a to change a flat tire. We got it fixed that morning and we were back on the road before too long!

This is where we camped in Gunnison.

Those are ski runs! And people ride mountain bikes down them in the summer time! Crazy!

Colorado Springs!




We were SO excited to see our dear friends, Nathan and Joanna, and their precious almost-8-week-old, Titus!


It was so good to see them - last time we did, they were leaving Mississippi after a few months of Air Force training for Nathan, and Joanna was 20 weeks pregnant!


Titus looks just like his daddy. :)

We spent Sunday with some dear friends, the Barnes family! Mama and Daddy knew Mr. Jim and Mrs. Judy before Sarah and I were born, and Mama would often babysit their two oldest children. Sarah and I had never met them (that we could remember). They live near Denver, and we were so excited to get to spend time with them!

Mr. Jim, Daddy, and Nathan (who used to run the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival and worked for Vision Forum!)


All of the kids! L to R: Nathan (29), Sarah (22), Michael (14), Jonathan (18 - he's 6'10", by the way), Maggie (21), Debbie (12), Amy (16), Emily (22), Rebekah (22), and Becky (23)! Sadly, we didn't get to see Jenny, who's in between Nathan and Becky. Maybe next time! :)

Old friends, reunited after 22 years!

God used Mrs. Judy and her family in Mama's life so long ago to live out the Gospel - Mama saw Jesus in them and He drew her to saving faith in Him! So thankful for this family!
